After a year full of dreaming, brainstorming, and baking, we opened the doors to our very first food concept, Vonckelend, in May 2025 Right in the heart of Amsterdam, just a stone’s throw from Dam Square.

What happens when you combine the craftsmanship of a Limburg bakery (since 1907!) with the soul of Amsterdam’s city center? The result: a sparkling new concept that brings together the best of both worlds. Authentic, innovative, and unmistakably Dutch.

At Vonckelend, everything revolves around poffertjes, but with a twist. With respect for tradition and a generous dose of creativity, we give this iconic Dutch dish a modern upgrade.

We’re incredibly proud to have joined forces as friends and entrepreneurs to bring this adventure to life. Born from Dominique Voncken’s rich family heritage in baking and Marlou Becker’s deep connection to the city, Vonckelend is a place where flavors, stories, and cultures come together.
